It seems as if photo sharing apps are the hot commodity these days.

Instagram is a popular photo sharing app that was recently purchased by Facebook for $1 billion.  Instagram allows users to take and upload photos and add filters to change the look of the photo. It was the first of its kind, and continues to gain an even bigger following.

A few days ago, Facebook launched FacebookCamera another photo sharing application that allows you to share photos with friends in a matter of seconds. Like Instagram, users can add filters to their photos and alter their photos. Facebook Camera does allow their users to upload more than one photo at once, which is different than Instagram.

But now, we have Voicepic, another photo sharing application that is unlike and much better than the other two. Why? Because Voicepic allows you to record your own captions.

On Instagram and even through photo sharing capabilities on social media sites, people have been using captions to ensure that other people understand the photo entirely. As these photos get shared between others, the captions can become obsolete or even changed. Through Voicepic, that won’t happen.

With Voicepic, you have the ability to record up to five seconds worth of audio for each picture and share them through the Voicepic app, Voicepicwebsite and even Facebook, Twitter and email.

Instead of adding pictures to Instagram, Facebook and other outlets with a boring written caption, Voicepic allows you to add life to your photos through your words. You can use your five second audio to record a general caption, share info about the photo or add a personalized message to a specific recipient.

With other photo sharing applications, the written caption can be hard to decipher. If users are bad spellers, it can confuse their followers. If their caption is too broad, some people may not understand what they’re trying to say. And since written text does not include a way to determine the emotion of the writer, you can never tell if the caption is happy, sad, witty or sarcastic. With Voicepic, you’ll be able to hear the caption directly from the user, which can help determine what they’re saying and how they’re saying it.

Voicepic is connected to Facebook, so you can easily sign in to the Voicepic with your Facebook account information. If you opt to use Voicepic this way, all of the photos you upload will be automatically shared through your Facebook Timeline.

Voicepic is easy to use, and though it currently doesn’t offer the ability to add filters or edit the look of your photos, the ability to add audio is much more fun than changing the design. There is also no limit to the amount of photos that you can upload, so you can use it sparingly or you can use it to your heart’s content.

If you’re currently using Instagram or Facebook Camera or both, tryout Voicepic. You may quickly give up your filters and editing capabilities for the power to audio caption.
